Massey Homestead at Opal

This is a painting of the original log house at the pioneer Massey Homestead at Opal in western White County, Arkansas.  According to Carole Evans, the homestead "was a stage stop, post office, farm, etc.  The original log house was torn down and replaced with a new house."  A photograph of the log house could not be found, and the painting was done from memory.
