Leroy Blair of the White County Historical Society found this old cemetery January 13, 2003, after receiving information from a resident of the area. The cemetery is located about a quarter-mile back in a pasture field across the road from 268 Pine Creek Road in Velvet Ridge.

Following is Blair’s report: "I did not find any graves with names on markers. But there appears to be about six marked with field stones. They are in a thicket that is so dense you cannot see. About 20 feet to the left there appears to be three graves covered with rocks. Between the two areas are some depressions that appear to be graves."
