This cemetery was recorded for the first time by Leroy Blair of the White County Historical Society following a visit in March 2002. The graves of Billy Griffin, two wives and three children are believed to be buried here, according to property owner Donnie Stevens.
Blair prepared the following report: "To get to the cemetery from Plainview, take Cedar Corner Road west to Moccasin Bend Road. Go down Moccasin Bend Road about 200 yards to a gate on the right of the road that leads into a pasture field. As you go through the gate, look straight back in the field about 100 yards and you will see a clump of trees. The cemetery is located in this grove of trees.
"There is a ring of rocks about 8 by 25 feet, and inside the ring are some other field rocks marking the graves. Donnie Stevens said that those buried here are Billy Griffin, two of his wives and three of his children. He was not sure of the dates when they died but from records on his property, he estimates it is between 1856 and 1912. The cemetery is fairly clean."
Leroy Blair visited the site again on February 18, 2005, and reported, "Since my last visit, several tree limbs have fallen on the graves."
