Cross Harbor Cemetery.
That is my wife Ellen standing by this little log church before she had both knees replaced. The
cemetery is to the right of the church. I lost the picture of this cemetery.
Gilbert / Oneal
The statues on top of the stones are believed to be of the man's wife and child.
Dogwood Cemetery
This just a part of this cemetery. The main part is across the road next to the church.
Fairgrounds Cemetery
This is the only stones left here. The remainder of the cemetery was destroyed
and the livestock building was built in that area. It is believed that as many as 200 graves were
lost for ever.
Floyd Cemetery
That is me walking around writing down information.
Hughes Cemetery
This is a grave when found it only had a stone with Jane Doe on it. I done some research about
her and found that she had been found murdered and her body was found over the hill on Hwy 31
near Floyd. I talked to J.R. Howard of the State Police who had handled the case. He said it was a
girl from Texas. By the Name Mary Ann Gibson. He also said he went to Texas to tell her family
about her murder. Their only response was we always wondered what had happened to her. and
never ask what they had done with her body. I contacted Matt Bible owner of Bible Monument
Company in Searcy and he made her a stone with her name and other information and he set it
for free.
