Q is for Quilting

With cold weather upon us, Dorothy Young broke out the quilts!  The Searcy quilter presented a program of quilting stories, techniques and history to the White County Historical Society Monday, January 26, 2004, at Harding Place.   She has nearly 50 years of quilting experience, including two terms as president of White County Quilter's Guild.  She presented "Q is for Quilt" to kindergarten classes at Harding Academy each year for 17 years as they studied the letter Q.  She has completed 26 large quilts and some 50 smaller quilted projects.  She showed some of them plus old quilts that have been in her family for many years.
