Burial Insurance Proves a Great Help
As a business proposition, either directly or indirectly, the Democrat has no interest in any insurance company, nor or we disposed to voluntarily solicit business for them, feeling they should enter the advertising field and solicit business the same as other corporation enterprises. But now and then there comes to our attention an instance where insurance in one or the other of its various forms is a blessing to the insured.
Such an instance is furnished in the death July 19th of Chester Moore at the home of his sister near Choctaw. Mr. Moore was an honest, industrious man and practiced economy all his life, but regardless of his industry and practical economy the end of the way found him possessed of but little worldly goods. In fact had it not been for the frugality and foresight of his good wife a fitting burial in keeping with his life would have been a burden his family was unprepared to bear.
On June 25th representatives of a burial insurance company called at Mr. Moore's home and explained to his good wife how it was possible for her to fortify against a possible need by taking out a burial policy. Mr. Moore was away from home at work at the time and Mrs. Moore was canning fruit. Explaining that she had no money at the house the agent offered to issue her a three months policy for four quarts of her canned fruit. The offer was accepted and the policy issued. In less than one month this company put the beneficiary away in a manner most acceptable to his family and approved by his friends.
