MEDAL of HONOR
Company "D," Van Buren County: - PVT. WILLIAM H. HUIE was awarded the Confederate equivalent of the Medal of Honor for his heroism at the Battle of Chickamauga.
Company "F," Van Buren County: - SGT JOHN N. CANNON was awarded the Confederate equivalent of the Medal of Honor for his heroism at the Battle of Chickamauga.
