The first person buried in the Spires Cemetery is my Great Aunt Allie E. Spires b: 1864 MS, d: 1883 Van Buren Co., AR. She was the daughter of James E. "Uncle Jimmy" and Absela E. Spires who settled in Damascus with the Hutto family. Several more of my family members are there but most of their graves are unmarked, as is Allie's.
