Sanders - Bennett Cemetery

Located in Sec. 21, 10 N, 12 W, Cradron Township, Van Buren County, AR.
William Pitts Bennett married my G-Grandfather's sister, Mary Elizabeth Sanders. They had 10 children so there are lots of Bennett cousins descendants buried there ... therefore the Bennett part of the cemetery name. Location & Bennett info submitted by Shirlene, great granddaughter of Elihu Daniel Sanders. She would like to know who the Kennedy people were that are buried there.

The original 80 acre land grant was in the name of Elihu Sanders, later in his son's name, Elihu Daniel Sanders. This farm was eventually sold to a man named Grow, and was known for many years as the old Grow Place.

There are approximately 15-17 graves located in this cemetery, only one of which has a name, that of James Crawford Sanders. The rest are marked by only fieldstones, so there is no way to determine who is represented by which stone. From Sanders family records, the following individuals are recorded as being buried there.
