*The following is a little
history about Green Grove Church / Cemetery, graciously shared with me in
January 2012, by William Larry Frisby, grandson of the late Norman Frisby.
William Larry Frisby is a
dentist & resides in Sheridan, Arkansas.
"The cemetery was originally, Green Grove
Baptist Cemetery. The Baptist Church, being founded in the late 1860's.
The building burned under mysterious circumstances according to my late
grandfather, Norman Frisby, in 1915. Church was held once a month. The members
at that time decided not to rebuild and united with New London Baptist and
Union Chapel Baptist Church, both vibrant today. In the 1920's, a Pentecostal
minister held a "brush arbor protracted meeting" by the cemetery,
leading to the eventual formation of the Assembly of God Church."
