This cemetery is located in the western part of the county, about 5.8 miles from

Smackover, Union County, Arkansas on State Highway 160 West toward Mt. Holly.

A flat stone with only half still remaining;

the following writing was what was readable:

(Speculation:  It appears to have been Nancy Harper)

Beloved husband

Harper

ghter of  (probably daughter)

cy  ANDERSON (probably Lucy or Nancy)

ch   8, 1825  (probably March 8, 1825/35 )

*see dates for Nancy Anderson Harper

*Cemetery is about 100 yards west of the highway.

It has (had in '86) three huge Cedar trees and some

Cedar post were still standing, the remains of a fence.

The area of the cemetery was approximately 45 feet square.

*Some early researchers thought the Cemetery was called

the ANDERSON ~ CAMPBELL  FAMILY  CEMETERY.

Since no known Campbell's could be named as being buried

in this cemetery, I have dropped the name, but added this

little note, just in case there are descendants out there

who know otherwise.
