with any part of it please email me at Kc6005@aol.com.
Barnibas/Barnabas Jones told the census taker in 1850 he was
born in SC.
I believe Barnibas could have had three different wives, because
we find a Barnibas Jones in Hardeman Co TN in 1830
(we are not sure this is our Barnibas) with 2 males under
the age of 5, one male 20 to 30, one female under age of 5,
one female 5 to 10, and one female 20 to 30.
Then we find Barnibas Jones in White Co. AR in 1840 with 1
male under 5, 2 males 10 to 15, 1 male 15-20 (Solomon D. Jones),
1 male 30-40 (Barnibas Jones), 2 females under 5
(Malinda Jones & Elizabeth Jones), 1 female 5 to 10
(Susan Jones), 1 female 10 to 15 (unknown), 1 female 15 to 20
(unknown), 1 female 30 to 40 (Elizabeth Maxwell).
Then Barnibas Jones in Sevier Co. AR in 1850 with the following
household:
Jones, Barnibas (Bapt.Prchr) 45 m SC
Betsy 26 f TN
Solomon (fmr) 17 m TN (this age is incorrect should be 20)
(child of Elizabeth Maxwell see court petition below)
Susan 17 f AL(child of Elizabeth Maxwell see court

a farmer.
It is believed that he died 1903-1905 in Seiver County (his last son was
born in De Queen in 1902). A family myth states that he died of blood
poisoning from a knife wound. His widow married a Charles Elliott and
later moved to Oklahoma.
Any assistance in identifing his parents or siblings would be greatly
appreciated. I have information of his children/grandchildren/etc. to
share with interested researchers.

GRIFFITH, BISHOP, McMULLEN
I am looking for any/all information on my gg-grandparents, Samuel Acass "Cass"
GRIFFITH, Wiley and Eliza McMULLEN BISHOP, and their families who lived in/near the
Richmond, Little River (earlier Sevier) Co. AR area. Apparently
they ran afoul of Federal militia under Gen. Catterson and Gov.
Powell Clayton and left for Texas in 1869. Am particularly
interested in information re the time period of 1867-1869 when
martial law was declared for SW Arkansas.I am looking for information confirming that the Mark
McMULLEN who served in Co. E, 19th Ark. Inf. (Dawson's) CSA and
enlisted in Rocky Comfort/Paraclifta was the same one who co-
owned several thousand acres by Richmond with his brother-in-law,
Wiley BISHOP and also listed in the 1860 Sevier Co. census.

CHANDLER
Regarding: CHANDLER, Joel and Ritta and his father John.
Joel and Ritta moved from Alabama to Nathan, Pike County,
Arkansas in 1846. Found Joel and his father John in the
1850 Hempstead County Census. John is listed as age 87.
Family letters state he lived to be 105 and there is some
confusion as to whether or not he is the John Chandler
who lived to be 104/5 of Lunenberg, VA. Need to know when
and where John died, who he was married to, and who were
the rest his chilren?

NEWTON
Looking for any information on My great Grandmother Flora Ann ? Newton
she was a resident of Pear Creek Township, Sevier County Arkansas in 1915
she was 50 years old and a widow she hadthree children, her youngest was
born fifteen years prior to 1915. She had been a resident of Arkansas for
17 years. She suffered emotional problems five or six years prior to her
admission to the Arkansas State Hospital at Little Rock. Her condition
became more stressed, resulting from the death of her grandson one week
prior to October 15, 1915 that being the admission date to State Hosp.
She never recovered and is buried in the Hospital cemetery. Their records
never reveal any fam. vistors and at the time of her death December 28,
1933 County Judge Custer Steele of Sevier Co. Ark. reported that none of
her fam. could be located. I feel very sad cause her dau. (my
Grandmother Lindy NEWTON Jones) was more than likely living in McCurtain
Co. OK. or their in Arkansas. What happened to her Husband Frank Newton
I Understand he owned land in Sevier Co. around Horatio. Where did her
children go????. WHY WAS SHE JUST ABANDONED????. Can anyone out their
help me find out anything in ref. to this fam. any help would be
appreciated. She had a son named Jim AFTER HIS Dad so I assume Flora ann's
husband's name was Jim Frank Newton.
Thank you!!!

BOATRIGHT
This is the first query I have ever done so I don't know what is a logical query. My ggg grandfather and
gggg grandfather were on the 1830 Pope Co. AR Census. As far as I can tell from other people who have
actually done searches in Pope Co. for the BOATRIGHTs nothing more could be found, I'm talking 5 to 10
years ago. Lewis and Thomas BOATRIGHT Sr. are the two ancestors I am referring to. The other
BOATRIGHTs in Pope Co. are also kin to Lewis and Thomas. They were in the Little River, Miller and
Sevier area around 1818 to 1829. On the Pope Co AR in 1830. In 1835 Lewis is in Chicot Co. Thomas Sr.
presumably died and the BOATWRIGHT clan headed back to TX. They had come to Texas with Stephen
F. Austin's original Three Hundred Settlers in late 1821. I don't know what towns they were living in at the
time of the Census. I tried to see other queries but my computer said that it was not available to see.?? If
anyone needs me to check something a the Clayton Library in Houston let me know. Anything you can tell
me or find would be appreciated. I couldn't get the Counties below to work it was one or two or all. The
Co. are Pope, Sevier, Miller, Little River, Hot Springs. Thanks Joy
