He was born May 6, 1951 in Fort Smith. Johnnie was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict with United States Marine Corps, and he was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Debra; three daughters, Shonia Ward, Naomi Jenkins and Kaylea Boyce; three sisters, Anna Byers, Alice Davis and Loretta Releford; two brothers, Cecil Bowman and Gary Wayne Certicki; as well as five grandchildren, Keifer, Amanda, Silas and Sebastian. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris; a granddaughter, Morgan Ward; two sisters, Michelle Booker and Patty Rowe; as well as one brother, Michael Certicki. A memorial graveside service, with USMC Honors, will be at 2:00pm Thursday, October 5, 2017 at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
