David Ernest Taylor was born Dec.21, 1910 in Ione, Logan Co., Ar. to Edward Fanoy & Alice Lee Layman Taylor. Before 1930 the Taylor family moved to Big Creek Twsp., Sebastian Co. Ar. On July 21, 1934 Ernest married Gladys Raye Graham of Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.

Ernest registered for the Military Draft on Oct 16, 1940 in Sebastian Co., Ar. On April 12, 1944 Ernest enlisted in the US Army and was attached to Co. A 133 Inf TNG Battilion. Private David Ernest Taylor was discharged Aug 8, 1944, an honorable discharge.

The 133rd Infantry was inducted into Federal service on 10 February 1941 at Sioux City, Iowa. It inactivated on 3 November 1945 at Camp Patrick Henry, Virginia

. After his service he resided in Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. and on Nov 11, 1959 Ernest passed away. He was buried in the Lavaca Cemetery, Lavaca, Ar.
