December 26, 1946 Roy married Johnnie Leona Stubblefield of Charleston, Franklin County, Arkansas. The marriage was in Sebastian, Co., Ar. October 16, 1940 Roy registered for the military draft at Lavaca, Big Creek Twsp, Sebastian Co., Ar. He enlisted in the US Army June 13, 1942 at Little Rock, Arkansas. He states he has 4 years of high school and is a farm hand. He served until January 30, 1946. Roy Joseph Withers passed away March 21, 1985 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and was buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery at Charleston, Franklin Co., Ar.
