Henry Edward Withers was born June 11, 1921 in Lavaca, Big Creek Township, Sebastian Co., Ar. to William "Bill" Fredrick & Henrietta "Etta" R Patterson Withers. August 17, 1940 Henry married Beatrice Ray Davis from Hartford, Sebastian Co., Ar. On February 16, 1942 Henry registered for the military draft at Fort Smith, Seastian Co., Ar He enlisted on October 19, 1943 in the US Army at Little Rock, Arkansas. He states he has completed 4 years of high school and is a farm hand. I have not found a discharge date from the Army for him. His rank was Pfc. Henry Edward Withers passed away June 26, 2001 and is buried in Mayberry Cemetery, Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.
