Ray Edward Wingfield was born May 12, 1918 at Barling, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Edward Melinda "Len" & Pearl Hutchison Wingfield. May 4, 1940
Ray married Bernice Oleta Gibson at Barling, Ar., both being residents there.
October 16, 1940 Ray registered for the military draft at the town of
Barling in Mt. Sandels Twsp, Sebastian Co., Ar. January 19, 1944 Ray enlisted in
the US Navy. He had the rank of Radioman 3c when he was wounded in action. He
survived his wounds and serve until Jan 30, 1946, his discharge date.
Ray Edward Wingfield passed away October 22, 1990 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
and was buried in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Charleston, Franklin Co., Ar.
