Lester Lavern Williams was born March 7, 1925 in Beverly, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
James Garfield & Sarah "Sally" Sedalia Floyd Williams. Sally had previously
been married to a Mr. Robertson. His first wife was
Gloria Marie Alexander. in the photo above.
His second wife was
Marie Catherine Suhren.

Lester registered for the military draft at the Court House in Fort Smith,
Sebastian Ar. He enlisted in the US Army March 2, 1949. His discharge date was March 21, 1968.
His final rank was Sergeant First Class. Nothing more is found about his US Army service.
Sfc Lester Lavern Williams passed away March 6, 2001 in El Paso, Texas. He is buried
in the Ft. Bliss Texas National Cemetery.
