Norman Means Wilkinson was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives,
serving from 1933 to 1942. He was a member of the Democratic party and served as
Speaker of the Arkansas House of Representatives.

Means signed up for the military draft at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar.
and October 24, 1942 he enlisted in the US Navy, serving as a lieutenant JG.
Lt. Means was wounded in action and was the first Greenwood man to receive a Puple Heart medal
in WWII per the clipping below. After his service he returned to
Greenwood Arkansas to live out the rest of his life continuing to serve the people of Sebastian Co.,
Ar.
