Robert "Bob" Franklin Turner, Jr. was born October 22, 1916 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Robert Franklin & Maude Iva Dean Turner Sr. On June 14, 1941 at Carrollton, Carroll County, Missouri Robert Jr. married Sarah Sallie Painter Cooper. October 16, 1940 Bob registered for the military draft at the Senior High School in Fort Smith, Ar. He enlisted in the US Army July 11, 1942 at Little Rock, Ar. He states he had completed 4 years of college and was a bookeeper. His employer was Fox and Turner, a retail clothing store in Fort Smith. No more is found about his time in the service. Robert Franklin Turner, Jr. passed away June 25, 1994 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas. He was buried in Forrest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
