Willard W. Taylor
BARLING - Willard W. Taylor, 94, of Barling died Sunday, April 25, 2004, in a local hospital.
He was a retired Civil Service employee at Fort Chaffee. After retirement, he worked for Ford Motor Co. and was one of the original co-owners
of the White Spot restaurants in Fort Smith. He was also a former employee of White Castle Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, a former cafeteria
manager for Federal Glass, former member of Central Methodist Church in Central City, and an Army veteran of World War II. He also was a charter
member of the Barling Senior Citizens Activity Center and a former member of the Senior Bowling League at Midland Bowl.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort
Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Clara B. Taylor.
The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the
funeral home.

Willard W. Taylor was born Nov 20, 1909 in Palestine Ward 2, Anderson, Texas,
to Willis & Johnnie Bridges Taylor. Nov 33, 1929 in Columbus, Franklin Co.,
Ohio Willard married Clara Belle Carter.
January 27, 1942 Willard W. Taylor enlisted in the US Army at Ft. Hayes,
Columbus, Ohio. He states his residence is Franklin Co., Ohio and he was a hotel
and restaurant managers. In the Army Willard attained the rank of 1Sgt. he was
released from the military Sept 25, 1945.
Sometime after the war 1Sgt Taylor located in Central City in Sebastian Co., Ar.
Sometime later he and his wife were living in Barling, Sebastian Co., Ar.
25 Apr 2004 Willard W. Taylor passed away. He was buried in the National Cemetery
at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
