John Wilson Studdard was born at Hartford, Sebastian Co., Ar. 16 Dec 1915 to
James Marion and Mary Etta Cunningham Studdard.John Wilson
married Erma Grace Thompson and in 1943 they had a son John Clifton Stoddard.
May 1940 John is found living in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. single and
with his mother and 3 of his older siblings. He is employed at the livestock feed
mill as a grinder. On his draft card dated 16 Oct 1940, John says he is employed
at the Arkansas Smelting Co. on Kibler Road in Van Buren, Crawford Co., Ar. and
gives his mother as his contact.
Serving in the US Army John achives the rank of Lieutenant. On Sept 14, 1945
Lt. John Wilson Stoddard died from a non battle cause.
He is buried in the Steep Hill Cemetery in Sebastian County, Ar.
