Samuel Eugene Stroud was born October 6, 1922 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Samuel Voyed & Dollie Mae Morrison Stroud. March 9, 1940 he married
Frances Margaret Cline at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. as both were residents there.
In December 1967 they divorced at Orange Co., California.
June 30, 1942 Eugene registered for the military draft at Los Angeles, California.
He enlisted in the US Army January 11, 1944 at Little Rock, Arkansas. His discharge
was on May 20, 1946. His rank was Sgt.
He has a Hospital Admittance Card dated August 1944. The diagnosis was
"Reaction to drugs, vaccines, serums". He was returned to duty. Nothing more is known about his
service.
October 15. 2002 Samuel Eugene Stroud passed away in California. His burial was in Riverside National
Cemetery in Riverside, California.
