Oral Kermit Stallings was born July 28, 1911 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Green Berry & Sarah R. McKinney Stallings. On Nov 28, 1935 Oral
married Ruth Marie Randolph at Hughes, Oklahoma.
October 16, 1940 Oral registered for the draft at Belle Point, Fort Smith, Sebastian Co.,
Ark. He enlisted with the US Army on April 7, 1944 attaining the rank of Tec 5. April
1, 1946 his enlistment was up. He returned to Sebastian Co., Ar to make
his home there.
Oral K. Stallings died Sep 24, 2008 in Branson,Taney Co., Mo.
He was buried at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.

Mr. Oral K. Stallings of Branson, Missouri; formerly of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Tuesday, September 24, 2008, in Branson, Missouri. Mr. Stallings was 97 years old. He was the son of the late Greenberry and Sarah (McKinney)Stallings of Greenwood, Arkansas.
Mr. Stallings retired in 1974 from the Gerber Products Company-Sales Division. He was also the 1st employee and Personnel manager of the Ft. Smith Gerber Products manufacturing plant. Mr. Stallings was a United States ARMY veteran of World War II; having served in Patton's Army in Europe. He was a 32nd degree Mason; a life member of the NRA; a member of the Disabled American Veterans; and a member of the church of Christ.
Mr. Stallings was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 62 years: Ruth (Randolph) Stallings.
He is survived by his daughters: Sherrell Buchanan and her husband: Bill, of Fort Smith, and Karen Winters and her husband: Greg, of Branson, Missouri; a grandson: Robert Buchanan and his wife: Carol of Maumelle, Arkansas; a granddaughter: Cathy Buchanan, of Branson, Missouri; two great-grandchildren: Emily and Adam Buchanan; numerous nieces/nephews/cousins; and many dear friends.
Funeral service was held on Monday, September 29, 2008, at 1:00p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Wayne and Mark Stallings, Stuart Cannefax. Joel Scarbrough, Kim and Kerry Bercher.
Honorary pallbearers were his nephews.
