Nora Loucinda Stallings was born March 14, 1898 in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Green Berry & Sarah Rebecca McKinney Clark Lafayette Beam & Nora married on November 2, 1914 at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. They were divorced about 1929. No record has been found for the divorce but he married again in Jan. 1930 and Nora is on the 1930 census in Tulsa, Okla with daughter Bernice. No 1930 cessus shows where son Jack was. He is on the 1940 census with his mother. On Nora's enlistment in the Womens Army Corps she says she is divorced without dependents. Her second husband was Sidney Lee Elston. No dated record is found for that marriage. August 4, 1944 Nora L. Beam enlisted in the Womens Army Corps. She states she was born in Arkansas and her current residence is Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has completed 2 years of high school and her civil occupation was Clerk. Her rank is Pvt. Her military record says her service start date was August 30, 1944 and her service ended June 7, 1945. She served in the US Air Force and her last rank was Pvt. Nothing else is known about her time in the service. Nora Loucinda Stallings passed away June 22, 1995, Her burial was in the National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Arkansas as was her 2nd husband Sidney Lee Elston who was a MSGT in the US ARMY.
