Arnold Stafford was born June 25, 1925 in Sebastian Co., Ar. to Gideon Andrews & Pearl Ann Moore Stafford. February 8, 1957 he married Mabel Lola Ashmore at San Bernardino, California. Arnold oringally enlisted in the US Navy July 11, 1942. September 11, 1942 he was aboard the USS Mouont Vernon, a troop transport ship. He was assigned to the USS Sicard. July 1, 1946 Arnold registered for his second tour in the military draft at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. He again was assigned to the USS Sicard. His rank was Gm2 or Gunner's Mate Second Class. He came to the area seven years ago from Nevada. He was self-employed in the communications industry. He was a member of St. Clement's Catholic Church in Plant City. He is survived by his wife, Mabel; and one brother, Lewis of Saudi Arabia.
