Fred "Pete" Spencer was born Feb 7, 1907 in Logan Co., Ar. to Lillie Spencer
and Edward Roberts Keltner. In 1920 Lillie Spencer and son Peter Spencer
are living with her parents in Big Creek Twsp, Sebastian Co., Ar. On the 1910 census he is
listed as Fred Keltner. Other than that he always listed as Fred Spencer.
On December 17, 1930 Fred married Ruby Nixon of Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.
Oct 16, 1940 Fred regestered for the military draft in Big Creek, Lavaca,
Sebastian Co., Ar. He enlisted in the US Navy. He was discharged Mar 31, 1944.
Nothing more is known about his service.
He lived the rest of his life in Lavaca, Sebastian, Ar.
Oct 7, 1997 Fred passed away and was buried in the Nixon Cemetery in Charleston,
Franklin Co., Ar.
