Joseph Monce "Joe M" Spears was born July 11, 1921 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Davis Calvin Sr. & Ella Ruth Garrett Spears. June 21, 1943 Joe, a resident of Fort Smith, Ar. married Dorothy Joann Hancock from Denver, Denver Co., Colorado. The marriage was in Sebastian Co., Ar. February 16, 1942 Joe registered for the military draft at the court house in Fort Smith, Sebastian. Co., Ar. On November 14, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas he enlisted in the US Army as a Pvt. His civil occupation had been "sales clerk" and he had completed 4 years of high school. A military discharge date has not been found. In 1994 his residdece was 7100 W 13th Ave Apt 324, Lakewood, CO. Joseph Monce Spears passed away October 27, 1998 at Lakewood, Jefferson Co., Colorado. His burial was at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Jefferson County, Colorado.
