Johny Shopfner was born September 16, 1907 at Huntington, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Fritz (Fred) & Karoline Carrie Janich Shopfner. September 3, 1927 he married Veria Moon, both residing in Fort Smith, Arkansas. October 16, 1940 Johny registered for the military draft at Rogers School in Fort Smith, Ar. He enlisted with the US Army March 3, 1944 and served until November 30, 1945. Nothing more is known about his time in the military. Johny Shopfner passed away December 15, 1980.
