John Allan Rockwell was born March 7, 1907 in McKeen, Kane Co., Pennsylvania to John Loyd & Nora Adaline Steel Rockwell. John Allan's father had served in WWI with the US Marines and is buried at the Fort Smith National Cememtery. On October 17, 1936 in Carroll Co., Arkansas John married Lillian May Puttman Gerner from Newkensing, Westmoreland, Penn. John registered for the military draft at Parker School in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar on October 16, 1940. He enlisted in the US Navy March 15, 1944 and served until November 7, 1945. Nothing more is known about his time in the service. John Allan Rockwell passed away July 25, 1992 and is buried at Forrest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
