Ben Eugene Ray was born September 24, 1916 in Colorado City, Mitchell Co., Texas to John Birch & Lucy Jane Howard Ray. February 12, 1938 Eugene married Ruby Frances Brunk in Crawford Co., Ar., the bride's place of residence. Eugene was living in Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. October 16, 1940 Eugene registered for the military draft in Lavaca. Big Creek Township. Sebastian Co., Ar. and enlisted in the US Army December 21, 1943. He served until January 2, 1946. Nothing more has been found about his time im the service. Ben Eugene Ray passed away December 25, 1978. His buried in the Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.
