Bennie Bert Rausch was born April 12, 1927 in Greenwood, Sebastian Co. Ar. to Bennie John & Opal Beulah Skinner Rausch. June 7, 1949 Bennie married Sue Phillips of Jenny Lind, Sebastian Co. Ar. Bennie was living at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. t that time. The marriagn was in Crawford Co., Arkansas.

Bennie registered for the military draft at the court house in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar on April 13, 1945. He enlisted in the US Army June 12, 1945 at Camp Josepth T Robinson in Little Rock, Arkansas. He states he has completed 4 years of high school. His rank was Pvt. Nothing further is known about his time in the service.

Bennie B. Rausch, who resided in Ratcliff, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019, in in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born April 12, 1927, in Greenwood, Arkansas, to the late Bennie J. and Opal (Skinner) Rausch. He was 92 years old. He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Rausch, a granddaughter, Jennifer Rausch and a brother, Jimmy Izell.

Mr. Rausch was a retired County Line School teacher, served in the U S Army during World War II, was a 32nd Degree Mason with membership in the Charleston Masonic Lodge #155 and the Jenny Lind Masonic Lodge #503 and a member of First Baptist Church Ratcliff

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7th, at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Chapel in Charleston, officiated by Rev. Robert Berry. Burial with Full Masonic Rites will be at Garden of Memories in Charleston, Arkansas under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Rausch of the home; a son, Earl Rausch of Ratcliff; two brothers, Pat Izell of Greenwood and Bob Izell of Hackett.

Pallbearers are Chuck Parsons, Ray Parsons, Joe Burton, Larry Holland, Gary Stubblefield, and Bruce Hill.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6th at the funeral home in Charleston.
