J. D. Rambo was born August 29, 1923 in Charleston, Franklin Co., Ar. to John D. & Millie Belle Putman Rambo. His place of residence on the 1930 & 40 census is Bloomer, Sebastian Co., Ar. On Novembr 3, 1942 J.D. married Mary Alice Edmunds from Cabot, Lonoke, Arkansas. The marriage was in Sebastian Co., Ar. On May 18, 1944 she filed for divorce in Lonoke Co., Ar. His 2nd wife was Mildred M. Upton Hogan. The marriage date was after 1950 J. D. registered for the military draft June 30, 1942 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. He gave his residence as Big Creek, Sebastian Co., Ar. He also gave his place of birth as Sebastian Co., Ar. October 25, 1945 he enlisted in the US Army at Camp Josepth T. Rambo, 91, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015. He was born August 29, 1923 in Charleston, Ar. to John D. Rambo and Millie Belle Putnam Rambo. He was retired sales manager for Quality Auto Parts in Charleston, worked for Aiglan Diesel and Wilkerson Diesel in Oklahoma, was a member of Moore Lodge #539 and Grand Lodge of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mildred Hogan Rambo. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 10th at Smith Mortuary Chapel with interment at Garden of Memories under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. He is survived by four daughters, Carolyn Cauldwell, Charlotte Adams, Shirley Marshall and Jo Ann Taylor; two sons David Rambo and Jim Hogan; 18 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 35 great great grandchildren and his beloved Cat "Buddy". Pall Bearers will be Grandsons: Kevin, Craig and Terry Cauldwell, Chris Marshall, Eric Rambo, Brian, Brandon, Michael and Matthew Adams, Jim & Jeff Hogan, Mark & Greg Garner. Honorary pall bearers will be David & Chase Rice, Howard Gossett, Gary Smith, Everett Buckner, Sherman Hiatt, Michael DePaulo and Harold Mainard and Kat's Kitchen Round Table Friends.
