Paul Wesley Prescott was born in 1924 in Sebastian County, Arkansas to Joseph Henry & Ola Moody Prescott. In 1930 Paul and family are living in Mont Sandels, Sebastian Co. Ar. By 1935 the family is living in Fort Smith, Ar. where Paul attended Fort Smith High School. Paul enlisted in the US Navy Mar 7, 1941. Seaman 1 class Prescott served on the USS Vincennes. The story of the USS Vincennes and it's demise can be found HERE. In August 1943 S1 Paul Wesley Prescott was reported as MIA in the Solomon Islands. On Aug 10, 1943 S1 Prescott was declared dead. He has a memorial at Cemetery Manila, American Cemetery at Manila, Capital District, National Capital Region, Philippines at Fort William McKinley.
