William Henry "Bill" Odom, Jr was born November 12, 1924 in Barling, Sebastian Co., Ar. to William Henry, Sr and Carrie May Tapley Odom. In 1948 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas Bill married Marilynn Frances "Lynn" Moore. Other than his grave marker, obituary and phone directory in Austin Texas I have found no military record for him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A graveside service for William H. Odom II and Marilynn F. Odom of Brownwood, Texas, will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 7, at Greenleaf Cemetery. William was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Barling, Ark., to William H. Odom Sr. and Carrie Tapley Odom. William, 86, died Feb. 24, 2011. William served honorably 26 years in the military. Marilynn was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Cameron, Texas, to Frank Y. Moore and Florence Brooks Moore. Marilynn, 80, died March 27, 2010. Marilyn was first and foremost devoted to her family and friends. Their son, William H. Odom III, their daughter, Claudia Curtin, and granddaughter, Allison, survive them. A sister, Marjorie McKee, also survives Marilynn. They were preceded in death by their parents and siblings.
