Bill & Harold Norvell Harold Dean Norvell was born Feb. 12, 1923 at Charleston, Franklin Co., Ar. to William Walker "Will" & Omah M Pursell Norvell. Harold grew up in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co. and Crawford Co., Ar. 4 Dec 1942 Harold married Evelyn Arlene Goodison in Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut. Harold registered for the military draft on June 30, 1942 at Waterbury Conn. and enlisted in the Army Air Corps 19 Jan 1943 at Hartford, Connecticut. Nov 1943 he was admitted to Lincoln AAB, Nebraska or Lincoln Air Corps Tr. Det. diagnosis was "Hay fever; Rhinitis, vasomotor". December 1943 he was discharged for "disability, not in line of duty (existed prior to service)" Harold continued to live in Connecticut after the war. In 1984 Harold and Evelyn divorced after 42 years of marriage. Four years later Evelyn passed away. Sometime before 1994 Harold moved back to Alma, Crawford Co., Ar. where he passed away March 9, 1995. He is buried at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Van Buren Crawford Co., Ar. along with other members of the Norvell family.
