William Walker "Bill" Norvell, Jr. was born April 9, 1926 in Fort Smith,
Sebastian Co., Ar. to William Walker, Sr. & Oma May Pursell Nowell.
Nov 25, 1948 Bill married Jessie Jean Dorrough Gatlin of Logan Co, Ar. She had
a previous marriage to James Baxter Gatlin which ended Mar. 23, 1948.

Bill Norvell, Jr. 84 of Van Buren, Arkansas died Monday, August
9, 2010 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He was a retired Fireman of Fort Smith and an Executive Director of
several Boys & Girls Club of America & a member of the Boy's & Girl's
Club Alumni & Hall of Fame, a member of the New Bethel Methodist Church
in Van Buren. He was a veteran of WWII & the Korean Wars with the Army
& Merchant Marines.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jesse (Chico) Norvell.
Graveside Funeral services were held Thursday, August 12, 2010 at
10 a.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery with Rev. Jim Brooks officiating.
