Willie Elmer Nixon, whose name also appears on records as Elmer W., was born December 21, 1919 in Bass Little, Sebastian Co, Ar. to Elzie Bell & Ida Ellen Gross Nixon. June 29, 1949 Willie married Lois L. Buckner. His residence at that time was Huntington, Sebastian Co., Ar. and her's was Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. July 10, 1962 they were divorced. At the time of his death his spouse was Betty Doris Cox Garner. Willie enlisted in the US Army October 17, 1942 at Little Rock, Arkansas. He says he has a grammar school education and is a farm hand. Nothing more is found about his service. Sgt. Willie Elmer Nixon passed away January 10, 1994 and was buried at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar.
