Purple Heart Kenneth F Mizell was born Oct 13, 1920 Jenny Lind, Sebastian County, Arkansas to George Lafiat & Annie Powell Mizell. It appears that Kenneth had a twin brother, Keith. April 9, 1940 Kenneth F. Mizell is found in Bexar, Texas listed as a soldier with the Co. B 38th Infantry. Down the side of the census page it says...."All in tentage Camp Bullis, Texas. All tentage government owned. All on government reservation." On this census Kenneth says his home is in rural Sebastian County, Ar. Kenneth was promoted to S/Sgt Kenneth F. Mizell with the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. On July 27, 1944 S/Sgt Kenneth F. Mizell was Killed in Action. He is buried at: Plot H Row 12 Grave 28 Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
