Charles Harvey "Pete" LeRoy was born October 13, 1918 in Rogers Township, Sebastian County, Ar. to Edmond Edward & Victoria L Fox Leroy. October 5, 1945 Pete married Wilma M Garrett from Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. Pete's residence at that time was Jenny Lind, Sebastian Co., Ar. Pete enlisted in the US Army June 19, 1941 and served until September 22, 1945. Except for the photo of his military marker at the cemetery I find no other records on Pete's military service. I have a note that he served in the 82nd Airborne Division but I have no source for that. Charles Harvey "Pete" LeRoy passed away on August 27, 1985 and is buried in the Jenny Lind Cemetery in Jenny Lind, Sebastian Co., Ar.
