Recil "Bob" Atlas Leonard was born January 22, 1916 in Center Township, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Benjamin Franklin "Frank" & Amanda Jane Yelverton Leonard. January 22, 1938 he married Wanda Gwyn Crittenden in Sebastian Co., Ar. His reidence was Huntinon, Sebastian Co., Ar. Although from Sebastian Co. she was living at Little Rock, Arkansas at that time. That marriage ended in divorce August 31, 1939. He married his second wife, Vivian Leona Neighbors November 24, 1944 at Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Recil enlisted in the US Army November 12, 1942 at Little Rock, Arkansas. He states he is married and has completed 4 years of high school. His civil occupation was "Semiskilled miners, and mining-machine operators". He served until May 15, 1943. Nothing more is found about his time during the war. He was born January 22, 1916 in Sebastian County, Ark. to Benjamin Franklin and Amanda Jane Leonard. Bob was a former maintenance employee for Sun Oil Refinery and was a charter member of the Winnetka Heights Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and growing tomatoes and was a very giving person. He had lived in West Tulsa since the mid 1940's. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Barbara Jean Leonard; 2 brothers, Hoyt and Euel; and 3 sisters: Zenobia, Mattie and Louvie. He is survived by 1 daughter, Nellie Gagner and husband, Craig of Tulsa; 1 granddaughter, Angela Livingston and husband, Shawn of Chouteau; and grandchildren: Ashley Nicole and Morgan Brooke Livingston and one more on the way. Funeral services were September 22, 2008 at Winnetka Heights Baptist Church. Brother Jim Hughes officiated Graveside services were at Gilliam Cemetery in Greenwood, with the Rev.
