Dale registrated for the military draft June 29, 1942 at the Sebastian County Courthouse in Fort Smith, Ar. Nov 12, 1942 Dale enlisted in the US Army at Little Rock, Ar. On his registration he states that he finished 4 years of High School and that his occupation had been a Shipping and Receiving clerk. A note from his sister Martha Lairamore Wilson - "I can add that Dale was stateside during the war, stationed at Winfield, Kansas, and was an airplane mechanic." April 18, 1989 Dale Eugene Lairamore passed away at Sebastian County, Ar. and was buried in Rose Lawn Park Cemetery in Fort Smith as waa his wife Mamie.
