April 25, 1948 he married Lois Georgina Flournoyin Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. James registered for the military draft June 10, 1946 at Fort Smith, Arkansas. On this draft registration it's stated "Honorable Discharge from U.S. Naval Service 6/8/46." His first draft card and records for his earlier service has not been found. His final rank was S2.....Seaman 2nd Class.
