Samuel Robert "Bob" Kennedy was born February 12, 1921 in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Alvor Jefferson & Dessie Adele Moore Kennedy. After returning from the war on March 21, 1949 Samuel married Erma Grace Studdard from Fort Smith, Sebastitan Co., Ar. They divorced January 14, 1946 in Cleburne Co., Ar. The dates are from the records posted below. They share a grave marker so possibly they remarried. I did not find the registration for the draft cards for him. He enlisted in the US Army Air Corps Feb 2, 1943. He served until Sept 28, 1945, his rank being SSgt. Sometime before May 1944 he was reported as a POW. In 1955 Samuel and Erma are listed in the Fort Smith City Directory. January 17, 1994 Samuel Robert Kennedy passed away at Greenwood, Seebasian Co., Ar. He is buried in Gilliam Cemetery at Witcherville, Sebastian Co., Ar.
