Herbert Holland was born February 2, 1913 in Milltown, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Jesse Cleveland & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hunt Holland. December 7, 1940 Herbert, residing in Barber, Logan Co., Ar. married Ester Jones, a resident of Midland, Sebastian Co., Ar. in Logan County, Arkansas. Herbert enlisted November 17, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana although his residence was given as Logan Co., Ar. He served until October 29, 1945. No further infomation has been found about his service. After returning from the war Herbert and Esther made their home in Fort Smith, Ar. Tec 5 Herbert Holland passed away April 13, 1996 and is buried in the National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
