Horace Boyd Hogan was born June 7, 1918 in Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Arthur Virgil and Mary Myrtle Kirkpatrick Hogan. Horace had a twin sister Helen Bernice. May 11, 1940 Horace married Vernagene Smithson in Lavaca, Sebastian Co. where they both resided. October 16, 1940 Horace registered for the military draft at Lavaca, Ar. He was a self employed farmer at that time. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps on April 25, 1945. His discharge date was July 31, 1946. No other information was found about his service. Horace Boyd Hogan passed away April 8, 1978 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and was buried at Oak Valley Cemetery in Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.
