His burial was in Island Cemetery in Sebastian Co., Ar.

Andrew Jackson Hobbs of Lavaca departed this life Saturday, November 6, 2004, at the age of 85 years, seven months and 17 days. He was born March 20, 1919, to William Isaac and Lynn Hobbs. He was a lifelong resident of Lavaca, Arkansas.
Funeral services was at 10 a.m. at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, four sons, two daughters, one brother, 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the Dale Crampton Roofing Co. in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Burial was at Island Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Chronister officiating under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Charleston, Arkansas.
