Eugene Albert Grober was born January 26, 1911 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Albert & Emma Louise Austerman Grober. December 20, 1940 Eugene married Eloise Emily Adams from Van Buren, Crawford Co., Ar. Eugene registered for the military draft October 16, 1940 at Rogers School in Fort Smith, Ar. He enlisted with the US Navy July 9, 1942. He served until September 15. 1945. He achieved a rank of YN or Navy Yeoman. Nothing more is known about his time in the Navy. Eugene Albert Grober passed away January 17, 1990 at Fort Smith, Ar. and was buried in the Forest Park Cemetery at Ft. Smith.
