Bonvil middle front w/ brothers Bonvil J Foster was born May 21, 1909 in Havana, Yell Co., Ar. to George R. and Mattie J. Mott Foster. August 7, 1926 Bonvil married Lola Gladys Cherry, both from Havana, Yell Co Ar. at that time. By 1940 the family, with 3 children. were living at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. Bonvil was a carpenter at the Harding Glass plant. Oct 16, 1940 Bonvil registered for the military draft at Parker School in Fort Smith, Ar. I have not been able to find his enlistment date with the US Army or how he died. He served with Co E, 22nd Inf regiment, 4th Inf div. Bonvil lost his life in action February 7, 1945. The 22nd Inf. Regiment, in February 1945 had 728 Wounded and 136 men Killed.
