July 21, 1927 Fred married Virginia Schnell in Scott Co., Ar. although both were residing in Fort Smith, Ar. "Fred" enlisted in the US Army September 24, 1923 at Fort Smith, Ar. Nothing is known about his military service. William Fredrick Fort passed away November 1m 1971 at Fort Smith, Sebastian co., Ar. and is buried in the National Cemetery there.
